Yesterday was Friday, my preparation day. Preparing for the slower weekend days, preparing my heart for the Sabbath rest, preparing food and snacks to assist in slowing the rhythms of Saturday and Sunday so that those days are very different to the weekday flow; preparing for extra time to let the nourishment of God's Word sink deeper into my mind and heart.
